Über weiche Lichteswellen, laue Winde und süße Düfte schreibt Stefan Zweig in seinem Gedicht Juninacht, das als Stimmungsgrundlage für diese Komposition herangezogen wurde. Stefan Zweig writes about soft waves of light, gentle winds and sweet scents in his poem Juninacht (June Night), which was used as the basis for the atmosphere of this composition. The essence of the verse it contains, Leise atmen alle Blumen (All flowers breathe softly), was reinterpreted musically to sketch the metamorphosis of a flower in the sense of a flower piece. The composition thereby illustrates a process of emerging, blossoming and fading away.
